My Weekly Round Up, And Lots of Sunshine, wouldn’t it be amazing if all weeks could be like this week? Filled with sunshine, colour and chilling out together as a family. I apologise for the holiday spam but we really have had the best week, it has been incredible.
It all started last weekend with a tour around Manchester United. I am not the biggest football fan but the boys were just so excited. We were lucky it was a beautiful sunny day with gorgeous blue skies and the tour was fantastic, so much so, when we watched the film at the end I felt a bit emotional.
It’s amazing how you think you know nothing and have no interest in football but actually it has become ingrained into your heart a little. I have to say I really enjoyed the tour and have loads of photos to share.
Following the tour we headed to the Corn Exchange in Manchester and the amazing Cabana Brasil for lunch. The theming of the restaurant is so hip and cool, and the food was fantastic. This was the start of the week of the boys trying a new food every day. (A tradition we follow when we travel) And they loved the food, we all did! The decor was just stunning, I didn’t know where to look first, and it was just like Brasil in a perfect world.
Sunday we were up at 2am ready to fly to Greece. We had booked our flights with Easy Jet, and were not to excited about the prospect. We haven’t flown with them for years, and wow they have really upped their game. It was the easiest check in to a flight we have had in ages.
The plane was spotlessly clean and the service was great. I was so impressed, in fact we are planning trip to Copenhagen in November and will most probably fly with Easy Jet as we can get flights from Manchester rather that trek down to London to fly with BA.
I have been sharing our travels all week, so it will be no surprise to say we LOVED Ikos Resorts. I have always been a bit sceptical about all-inclusive resorts in Europe, and how it can not always the best quality. But Ikos Oceania was a true 5 star hotel; the quality was exceptional, most certainly refined and very beautiful.
The gastronomy was possibly the best we have ever experienced abroad, the hotel was not only spotless, but the attention to detail was incredible. This all contributed towards Ikos Resorts being the perfect environment. A truly wonderful team in an idyllic location. We met some wonderful people and spent many a night chatting away over delicious cocktails.
I have had some minor photography issues this week, I really had no idea that it was possible to get dust on your camera sensors, and when spots started to appear on my photos on Tuesday I was devastated, I thought my beautiful camera was broken. Fortunately thanks to good old Google I was able to solve the problem, and now know I need to be must more careful and avoid changing my lenses on the beach!
My photography challenge has progressed well, of course I was in the best location to capture colour, I love how this challenge has made me look for the colour around me. The aim of the task is to gradually train my brain to be much more photographic aware, and to see what I would not usually notice.
My challenge for this week is to capture my daily routines. I aim to capture 4 shots that showcase part of my regular daily routines. I have a few ideas for this but aim to have fun playing about and try to think outside the box a little.
This next week I have lots of catching up to do. The boys are still off for another week, so I am sure it will fly by. Have a fab week whatever you are up to and see you next week.
