Magical Woodland Walks and Massages, Q Hop Day 5

18th February 2016 by SarahJChristie 22 Comments

It is day 5 of our Q Hop and we arrived at Q Lodges last night in darkness to the most stunning lodge. I say lodge, Q Lodges compare to luxury homes rather than the average holiday lodge.  As soon as you arrive you feel at home and cozy.

I will share more about the lodges and facilities at a later date, but Q Lodges offers so much for the whole family in terms of dining options, luxury, sport, activities and relaxation. And Julie and her team have arranged a wonderful itinerary for us to enjoy the best of what Q Lodges has to offer.

After a lazy morning we headed up to the main house where I was booked in for a massage, it was incredible and I left floating on air ready to meet Chris and the boys for a delicious lunch in the Claret Jug.

After lunch we decided to follow one of the nature trails. The weather today has been beautiful, blue skies and glorious sunshine, perfect weather for woodland walks.

The lodges are situated in between a golf course and woodland so we decided to take the woodland route, and it was stunning. The fact that the winter sun was low in the sky and peeking through the trees casting a magical light on the forest floor for really helped to create for most magical atmosphere.

We spent well over an hour exploring, before heading back to the lodge to enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the views over the golf course. Reflecting on how idyllic it is here.  Family time is so precious when you are all busy, and to have weeks like this, where we all feel totally relaxed, take long walks and enjoy drawn out lunches is just priceless.

The boys are mega excited about tomorrow as we are all booked for a golf lesson and then to take part in a segway safari. They have been dying to do this for so long so are beside themselves. As I type Chris is cooking dinner and the boys are pottering around the lodge feeling quite content to chill and enjoy a bit of chill time

I love your shots from your walk – I was just saying the other day that when I was a child I never really opened my eyes and looked around and it’s something I really appreciate as an adult 😀

That is exactly what I felt like on this walk Sam, like I was a child again, but as a child I loved the forest. I thin because I loved the faraway tree and so wished it was true. But then as I got involved in my career I stopped noticing things I was always to preoccupied and busy. I now feel like I am seeing the world through refreshed eyes x
