It is day 2 of our Q Hop, and Forest Pines was a huge success, the most wonderful family hotel that I would thoroughly recommend. We spent this morning exploring the hotel which is immaculate and very stylish, I will share more next week, but the boys loved Forest Pines.
We had a wonderful time last night enjoying a great dinner and playing board games got a little competitive, but games always do with the Christie boys. As we retired to our gorgeous rooms snow had fallen and the scenery was just stunning. Fortunately when we woke this morning the snow had melted and the sky was the most stunning shade of blue, the perfect morning with such stunning scenery.
After enjoying the most delicious breakfast of fruit waffles and eggs benedict. (I know, but I couldn’t decide so had 2 breakfasts, then swam 15 lengths and played water football to counteract it. That how it works isn’t it? ) We headed down to the golf club for a golf lesson with Mathew who in my eyes is the best golf instructor ever! Yes, that is a huge statement but he is the first instructor ever to help me hit a ball straight.
I have had a few lessons and to be fair these guys have had their work cut out, but between 3 instructors I can now hold and iron, hit a ball and hit it straight. I love golf so am thrilled with my progress.
We have now arrived at the Cambridge Belfry, which is the most beautiful Spa Hotel, our suite is perfect for families and the environment is chilled but friendly. We are booked in for dinner and the menu looks fantastic. But now I am off for a game of ludo with the Christie boys, wish me luck.
