The Forest Floor, My Sunday Photo

I took this photo of the forest floor on Tuesday during our very relaxing pre-Christmas lodge break. It is something we have done every year since Joe was born. I love the fact that when we leave for our pre-Christmas break we are ready and organised for Christmas. In many ways it is our favourite part of the festive season, a complete wind down and time to chill with friends.

I love the fact that all that open space and the festive environment makes you totally relax. It is something we all look forward too so much. I cannot imagine Christmas without our little break now, it has become part of our festive traditions.  And this year we were so lucky to miss all that horrific weather. Yes, it rained and drizzled most of the time, but not to the scale of the last few days, so we were still able to enjoy long winters walks.
