Me and Mine December and My Captured Moments of Christmas

It was tough getting this months Me and Mine photo’s. It’s funny Christmas seems to be the time of year that I take less photos. I think we are all to engaged in Christmas or too relaxed. It’s crazy as we have had so many opportunities to take lovely photos but we haven’t taken them for whatever reason.

Me and Mine December

We have had a fantastic Christmas, starting with our annual pre-Christmas break with wonderful friends. It was a wonderful time to chill, take country walks, enjoy great food and wine, and enjoy the company of our lovely friends.

Me and Mine December

We arrived home the day before Christmas Eve all ready for Christmas.  We decided to see Star Wars on  Christmas Eve and wow it was amazing. It’s not the usual festive film but a sign of the times with the boys growing up and Star Wars was fantastic.

Me and Mine December

Christmas Eve night we built and decorated a gingerbread house as a family, we have done this for years, I usually bake too. Because we were all involved the house did not turn out as much of a work of art as usual. But it was more special as it was a family effort, although I needed a glass of wine once I had finished coordinating the three of them, all with their own ideas of constructing a ginger bread house successfully.

I finally got a shot on Christmas Day just before we set of to Chris’s Mum and Dads for a wonderful Christmas dinner, it was Toby who wasn’t playing ball and in the end we decided the way forward was to put a dog treat on the camera tripod.  This did work until he tried to jump up the tripod and nearly took the camera out.

The next opportunity was the day after boxing day, we decided as the rain had cleared and the sky was blue that we would take a long walk out to a village pub for dinner. I think Chris and Jack lost patience with Joe and I who kept stopping to take photos along the way, so it may have taken a while to get to the pub, but we had a lovely long walk and getting out after all that rain on Boxing Day was great.

Me and Mine December

So that is what I have. One of us is pulling a funny face on most of the photos, but all still great memories of a great Christmas.

And then to finish off, I love Lucy’s  end of year collage, and Heledd’s  end of year round up, so

I have made my own. And what a year looking back. I am so glad I join in with both of these gorgeous linkies as it makes me take family photos every month, and sometimes getting us all organised for a shot takes effort and a lots of patience. But looking back at these lovely family photos I am so glad I nag and chase them all with a camera all the time.

LOVE the pic of you all together — with Toby!! 🙂 Wishing you and yours a very, very happy new year! Lots of love from me and mine xxx

Fab pictures as always Sarah and love that Toby gets in on the action too. How do you get the teen to smile so much ? I really struggle to get mine to smile on pictures, otherwise I would love to take part in Me and Mine. I know I have said it before, but it looks so lovely where you live xx

These are all such gorgeous photos – I really must do more of the 3 of us together rather than ones excluding me! Especially when I have a timer on my camera! #mycapturedmoment

Such a cool family!! I never take any photos of the four of us together. I only have a handful of me with the boys, as well. For a smart guy who loves tech, Paul turns in to an idiot when a camera is placed in his hands. A tripod takes better instruction that he does 😉

First of all a massive THANK YOU for linking up every week!! You know I love you, your blog and your captured moments and the fact that you support me every week, means so much to me.

Secondly, these are fabulous pictures of your Christmas break. We got out a few days too, cabin fever really starts to set in after a few days doesn’t it? We usually like to go out for a Christmas day walk (after lunch) but the weather was too wet this year.

I wish you and your family and very happy and successful 2016 xxx

Thank you Heledd and thank you so much for hosting, I love it. The weather was just awful over Christmas wasn’t it ? I love getting out with Chris and the boys, when we are all at home the boys are so independent now and like doing their own thing to an extent apart from meal times, so getting out garnets their attention x
