Me And Mine October

2nd November 2015 by SarahJChristie 8 Comments

Well, what a month. This month everything changed and I am busy making plans for the New Year. October was a stressful but exciting month but I am hoping that I am ready and prepared for the next stage of our lives.

We spent an idyllic long weekend in Northumberland at the stunning Slaley Hall Q Lodges where we all got the chance to  chill out and spend some quality time together which was just what we all needed.

Me and Mine 1

Jack has started on the first leg of the GCSEs which is all very new to him, he has always been quite happy studying but now has come the time when he has to remain focused and see there is an end goal. Every piece of coursework and homework counts towards that goal so to get what he needs for the next stage of his career he needs to keep up the great work and continue working hard.

Me and Mine 2

Joe made the school football team, he was so proud. He has also progressed in his horse riding and is now confidently cantering and making small jumps, it is amazing to watch him, he has developed so much confidence lately.

Me and mine 4And Chris and I are looking forward to a winters shopping break in Leeds. We are yet to book our hotel but love the Queens so hope to be booking that this week. We haven’t been away on our own all year. We usually get away at least twice so as much as we love the boys and spending time with them this trip is very overdue.

Me and mine 3

And now are in November, how did that happen. I honestly can no believe how quickly this year has flown by. It does not seem two minutes since I was looking forward to Disney and now that is a memory. But as we are already feeling the withdrawal symptoms we have decided to revisit in 2017. I know that seems ages away but I am sure that will fly. As for next year, I still have no idea, we have a few options on our wish list so we really need to get our thinking caps on and make a decision. I can’t believe when I write my next Me and Mine it will be nearly Christmas. Arghh, scary but so very exciting.
