Going Dotty About My New Vintage Inspired Constellation Cases

All I think about is travel; seriously, it is consistently on my mind. Where are we traveling next, what will I pack, what will we do when we get there? And then there is the future factor; I always need to have something booked, something to look forward to.

Another of my travel obsessions is luggage; I get so excited about it. I would go as far to say I am a little obsessed; I even love looking at suitcases in museums and stately homes. I mean wow what must life have been like without baggage allowance. When you could travel with a trunk and take exactly what you wanted.

There are so many restrictions these days, size of case, weight of case; accessible locks grrr I could go on. We got caught out big style in Miami, a couple of pounds over and this very stern lady told us to re-pack and take something out or pay and kings ransom. We were that family huddled over our open cases squabbling over what to ditch, when I think back it must have been hilarious to watch, but at the time, trust me, I was not feeling the love. Anyway I digress.

I recently got the chance to try out this gorgeous set of Constellation Oil Cloth Blue Spot Cases. I instantly fell in love them they are so vintage looking, yet totally modern too. Perfect for weekend breaks in the country. So what is great about these cases?

For me, firstly it has to be the style; I just love them, they really stand out in an understated classic way. Secondly they are lightweight, perfect for family and girly weekends away. What makes them super versatile is the top and side handles this makes them easy to get in and out of the car.

The cases have two wheels, which at first I though may have been a negative. But actually they were easier to maneuver on the gravel path at the country hotel I recently visited as oppose to 4 wheel cases.  And the fact that they are oilcloth made them just perfect for winter breaks. They are easily wiped down, definitely a bonus with our gorgeous British weather.

The cases have a top zip, which makes them nice and deep; this is perfect for short stays, as you don’t necessarily need to unpack. With the Blue Spot Oil Cases you could easily live out of the case for a weekend without your belongings spilling everywhere every time you open your case, for short trips a lit top case is most certainly easier.

This is a set I just know I will love for a long time, although they are patterned, they are classic and stylish, and not a design that will date. And the fact that you can wash them down means they will always look beautiful.

Oh no Sarah I can imagine the utter stress of deciding what to ditch. I absolutely love these cases. I love dotty prints, and I really need to invest in some new cases. Ours are just a mixture of patterns and plain cases and nothing matches. I am totally with you in needing something to look forward to. Would love to go away at Christmas (like we did last year) but the husband is reigning me in lol xx
