What a difference a week makes, for the last few weeks I have felt a little overwhelmed, but a break at the wonderful Slaley Hall Q Lodges was just what we needed. Slaley Hall made such a fuss of us and ensured Jacks birthday weekend was extra special, it really is the perfect family break and gave us time to chill as a family. It was wonderful being in such glorious surroundings. Not needing to rush and meet deadlines, school and class bells, we all felt so chilled.
We came home all relaxed and ready for the run up to christmas, we have so much planned all very exiting but felt that we still had a huge chunk of half term ahead of us, but it has flown. I don’t think we have done very much for the latter part of the week apart from get straight around the house, nip out for coffee and cake and chill out watching movies. But we really needed a little organisation. My desk is finally finished and I am so thrilled with it. It is everything I thought it would be.
I do feel a little panicked that I have done absolutely nothing for christmas yet, yes I know we are still in October but it’s not far away is it? With the boys birthdays in September and October I really don’t give it much thought until the birthday celebrations are well out-of-the-way. Although to be honest I can’t think of one thing that the boys need, or even want.
I will go back to work next week knowing I have lots of planning to do, all very exciting and Christmas is just around the corner.
What has made me happy this week?
My beautiful friend Louise and her husband Paul gave birth to a very beautiful baby girl on Friday, I cant wait to meet her,
Autumn weather and beautiful sunsets
Relaxing, and oh my I have needed it.
Next week I am looking forward too…
I have a very exciting travel event in London, and a little Me Time with my great blogging friend Karen, we have so much catching up to do. And hopefully we will get time to do this over a nice bottle of wine. It will be a hectic few days but I love nipping down to London, I love the chance to have a little chill and read a magazine on the journey.
