A couple of week ago I got the opportunity for a girls night out in London for the MADs blog awards, and wow what treat. Anyone that knows me knows that I love the opportunity for a little trip away and this was an extra special trip. Not only was I visiting the MADs as a finalist, but also getting the opportunity of a girls night away with some wonderful ladies that I am lucky enough to call friends.
Our first dilemma was where to stay in London? We wanted somewhere in Kensington close to the MAD awards venue, somewhere that was big enough for the 4 of us, that we could all chill and have a catch up and enjoy pre dinner drinks, and chill with coffee and chat into the night in comfort and have a post evening de brief when we arrived home.
Citybase Collingham Serviced Apartments met all of our needs, it is a perfect London location with lots of space, and it really is perfect London living.
The apartment which was part of the most stunning tree-lined London Street was so spacious with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms and large lounge/diner and small but well equipped kitchen.
The kitchen had an oven, microwave, fridge freezer, and washing machine. It was fully equipped with plates, glasses, cutlery etc. All were spotlessly clean and in perfect working order, with a small selection of tea and coffee, and a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates. The bathrooms both had showers and were very spacious, this was great to say the apartment had 2 bedrooms so perfect for 4 girls all getting ready for a big night out in London.
The lounge had two large comfy sofas, a dining area and TV should you want a night in after a day touring London. Although both bedrooms were doubles, they had been converted to twin beds for our stay, and I must say I had a great nights sleep.
Staying in a city centre apartment is not something I have considered before but actually it is a great option. It was the perfect place to get together with friends, I love the fact that we were all together in one apartment rather than in separate hotel rooms unable to communicate, for us I would say it made the whole weekend extra special.
The nearest tube stations are Gloucester Road and Earl’s Court, both short walks away from the apartment. And the area is just full of cafes, bistros and restaurants giving you lots of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I would seriously consider revisiting with Chris and the boys and this would be ideal when traveling with kids, it would be the perfect place to crash after a long day exploring London. Because let’s face it once kids and teens are tired they are grouchy, then all they want to do is chill, Citybase Apartments are just the perfect London pad to take your family or meet with friends.
I thought this was such a good idea when you told me. Brilliant way to do a trip to London when you want something a bit more chilled out.

I’ve been wondering about an apartment because we want to take the boys but prefer the idea of somewhere that we can have a bit more space and separate sleeping areas. I’m going to price it and see if I can find something similar x
It is a great option Rachel, I love having that bit of space to chill x

This looks stunning and I love that you added a picture of the kitchen in. It’s a nice kitchen, ideal for someone having a long stay or someone like us that can;t go out on the razz because they have little people.
