A Post Card from Magic Kingdom

4th August 2015 by SarahJChristie 4 Comments

Today we visited Magic Kingdom, this is the place that the child in everyone dreams of, well the child in me anyway ha ha.

A big event for us today was Joe riding Thunder and Splash Mountain, he has always had this irrational fear of large rides, or rides with drops and this holiday has slowly seen him getting over this.

It was quite funny to watch him on Thunder Mountain he started quite nervous but still wanted to attempt the ride. I knew it was not a huge ride so gently encouraged him. As we set of through the first few turns he gripped the rails so tight  his knuckles were white,  by the end of the ride he had this beautiful huge smile from ear to ear as he held his arms in the air and waved through the final few turns and drops.

Yes, I missed the moment with my camera, as I was to busy enjoying it, but that is how family time should be isn’t it? He jumped of the ride and high-five Chris, he was so proud of himself it was just wonderful to watch.  Tonight we are off to the House of Blues for dinner at Disney Springs and maybe a spot of shopping, the perfect way to end the day.

I think Magic Kingdom is my favourite park closely followed by Epcot. Its our tradition that we always do Magic Kingdom on the first full day. I can’t quite believe I am in Disney until I see the castle lol. Well done to Joe for getting braver x

Oh, the magic of Magic Kingdom. Nothing beats it! You feel like a little kid again the moment you enter. That is such a lovely story about Joe getting braver. Your kids sound wonderful. You must be so proud of your boys. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
