As I start this weeks, weekly round up I just want to say thank goodness the summer has returned that dip in the weather was a real pain, you just get into summer mode them bang, rain, thunder and summer clothes have to go away again. Anyway it is back now thank goodness, the sun makes everything so much brighter. I have everything crossed it will stay with us throughout the summer.
My Word of the Week
Is excited. I only have 2.5 days left at work then I am off for 4 weeks hooooooraaaah. I love my job, but trust me when it gets to this time of the year you need a break. And it is so lovely to be off with the boys, we have a busy summer planned and I can’t wait to get going.
Time For Me
Well, this week it was for us, the Boys booked Chris a shooting lesson for Father’s day at the very beautiful Kelbrook Shooting School, set in acres of stunning countryside. His instructor was Michael Meggison and Olympic standard sportsman. And I must say it was amazing being the spectator, I have never really watched anything like it.
The way Michael worked alongside Chris instructing him to get his focus mentally and physically was incredible. Clay pigeon shooting was something I have never felt the desire to do, but after watching Chris yesterday I would really like to have a go.
Fun at Home
I have set a new rule, as part of my blog epiphany a couple of weeks ago, that I do not blog on Friday and Saturday nights. The problem is I love blogging so it is very easy to pick up my laptop and start tapping away whilst Chris and the Boys watch a movie, but I was missing out on all the chilled movies moments. So now I am switching it off and chilling alongside them. The boys really love it, I just never realised my blogging whilst they watch a movie would have an impact on them. It is so important to have a healthy balance isn’t it? Blogging for me is about recording family moments not missing out on them, whether it’s a movie of a walk in the country life has to be about family.
My Happiest Moment
This has to be reading Joe’s School report, it’s so great to know they are on the right path educationally, but not only that they are conducting themselves in such a way that people love being around them. Don’t get me wrong we all have room to improve and grow, but knowing that Joe is working and trying hard is wonderful to know, well done Joe we are so proud of you.
This Week I Would Like Too
Pack! Arghh I know I have been saying that for weeks and still haven’t started. We are meeting with some of our closest friends tonight and I am looking forward to a good catch up, and lots of laughing.
