My Holiday Essentials Challenge

Lists, lists, lists. That’s what I live my life by it seems? Travel plans, football fixtures, clinic appointments, dentist appointments , and special events at work. You get the gist don’t you? Being a working Mum means I need lists to survive.

But I have to say my favourite sort of list is a travel list, and trust me at any given time I have a few on the go. So when I got the chance to work with Chemist Direct I thought great an opportunity to reduce one of my lists.

holiday shopping listI will be honest at first I thought what could I possibly want form a chemist? And I will forgive you for thinking the same. Only out of pure curiosity  did I have a sneaky peek at the web site, and then I discovered it! They have a holiday shop.

Now this is every holiday obsessed planners dream, somewhere to order all my holiday essentials in one place at discounted prices. My friends all laugh at me as I am usually packed weeks before a holiday, I love to be prepared and organised. But I don’t know about you? It takes my breath away how much holiday toiletries shopping actually cost.

With this in mind I set myself a little challenge, how many of my holiday toiletries I can get for £50.00. I have cheated a little as although shampoo and styling products are on my checklist being a hairdresser I only use professional products on my hair. But lets face it? Sun cream costs £50.00 so there won’t be enough in the budget for anything else anyway right?

Wrong, I cannot believe what I got for £50.00, in-fact I got everything on my list.

Chemist Direct

The website is very easy to navigate and loaded very quickly. I loved the travel shop section, which offered lots of suggestions to prevent you forgetting anything, which lets face it; is a nightmare. We once had to get a taxi in Tenerife to get a bottle of calpol for a poorly teething Joe, that bottle of calpol cost £35.00 in total. Since that day I have always endeavored to be prepared, and fortunately teething isn’t an issue we are blighted with these days.

What I loved about chemist direct was the prices; nearly all the products I bought were cheaper than buying at the supermarket, this resulted in a huge saving at the end of my shop. I will most definitely use chemist direct again, it was so reasonable priced, had all the items I wanted in stock and arrived very quickly. I ordered on Friday evening and the parcel was with me by Tuesday so super quick. It is now all safely packed in my suitcase ready for out little family holiday in a couple of weeks.
