My Captured Moments, Making Sandcastles

28th May 2015 by SarahJChristie 22 Comments

Screen Shot 2015-05-17 at 19.53.44I just love this photo, it was taken on Southend Beach in 2008. Chris and the boys were making sandcastles and collecting shells. Everywhere we have been where there are shells and pinecones the boys have collected a few. We now have them in a vase in the hallway, as a little reminder of all the places we have been as a family. Every-time I look at it it makes me smiles as it reminds me of beautiful days like this.

That’s such a lovely memory – making sandcastles and collecting shells from beaches is THE best when you are little (and older!). Jess x #mycapturedmoment

Ah we do pinecones & shells too! It’s moments like this that seem quite ordinary at the time that when you look back you realise was so special. A lovely picture of your boys having fun xx

I used to love collecting glass from beaches when I was little. My mum kept loads of it that we’d given to her over the years. x

Such a lovely story behind this picture. Even now as an adult I love collecting shells and pine cones, that vase idea is a lovely one I’ll have to steal that 😀
