Last week I had lunch at the very cool and trendy Artisan bar and restaurant in Manchester’s Spinningfields. It’s the weirdest yet coolest restaurant I have been to for a while. Spinning fields is known for its themed dining spaces, it must be so hard to come with something new and different. And for me the Artisan fits in perfectly. It is an industrial space, with exposed joists and brick making the foundations of the unique decor.
Everything about it is so chilled, yet welcoming. This is the 3rd time I have visited and have loved the food and atmosphere every time. The service is fantastic, the staff are all so friendly, and showed so much patience with one of our party who just could not decide what to choose off of the menu. Our drinks came promptly, and we didn’t have to wait ages for our meal.
The Menu has a great selection and I have struggled choosing every time. It’s not often there is so much I like the look of on a menu, but I am going to have to keep going back to work my way though all the tasty food. There is also a set menu option and a kid’s menu. I ended up going for the Caesar salad. I know not everybody gets excited about Caesar salad, but I love it. And this one did not disappoint, it was so tasty, the chicken was moist and tasty not dry like you sometimes find with Caesar salad.
The Artisan is such a great option, it is friendly yet cool and chilled. The food and service are great and not at all overpriced. In fact I can’t wait to take the boys, I just know they will love it here. It really is the perfect place to stop for a spot of lunch or an evening meal in Manchester City Centre, and one where you would feel comfortable taking the family.
And just one more thing, check out the Ladies toilets, odd request I know but they really are the coolest toilets I have ever been in.
