Happy Days, Weekly Round-Up

Another week of glorious sunshine, it’s lovely to wake up to the sun shining and birds singing. I can’t believe it is going to break, but lets hope it’s only a pause in great weather and the sun will soon be back where it belongs, shining down on us.

I always start my weekly round-up thinking hmmm I haven’t done anything this week, then as I write and my post unfolds I realise that actually I have been quite busy after all.

That’s what I love about blogging, I am recording all the little things I would normally forget.

Out and About

We were lucky enough to be invited to Bella Italia on Sunday for lunch. We love Italian and always visit Bella Italia when we visit Center Parcs. We had a lovely afternoon chatting and laughing after lunch. It really is the moments like this you want to cherish as a family, sitting round a table chatting and laughing. I just love this photo of Joe he was laughing at one of Jacks jokes as I snapped him. I love the happiness in his face.

Fun At Home

We have had a little drama in the Christie household this week, our little angel Toby got hold of a chicken this week again. We were all so upset, and so mad at Toby. Like farmer John said, it is animal instinct, but he is such a gentle soul apart from when it comes to chickens, which almost makes it worse my little angel is a savage.

Now when he is in the garden I am on pins. So this week a 5ft fence is going up, to stop the chickens getting in, and Toby getting anywhere near them. Our angel has cost us a fortune this week.

Time For Me

I had lunch with my lovely friends Louise and Lisa, and my beautiful god-daughter Suzie came along. It’s so lovely to get together with them and chat about our lives, what we are up to and put plans for the future. I also got 20 minutes to chill in the garden on Wednesday, on my own. Yes, no football whizzing past of tennis balls being thrown at me, everyone was out, so I got 20 mins to sit in the sun and chill, it was bliss, I love my family but sometimes a little peace is beautiful.

My Happiest Moment

Spending Sunday afternoon chatting with my lovely family, sometimes the simple things are so lovely aren’t they?

This Week I loved

I got sent some  washing liquid and hand soap to try. It is called method sunset beach collection and can be purchased from Tesco. it is environmentally friendly and gentle on the skin. So I thought I would give it a try. As far as smell goes it has a subtle floral aroma, it is lovely yet not overpowering. I also like the fact that it feels gentle on my skin. And as for packaging, I love it its clean modern and stylish, and doesn’t look like traditional hand soap.

Next Week I Would Like Too

I am off to BlogCamp today, as this post goes live I will be on my way to Birmingham, eeeek. I love blogging events they are so exciting, I learn so much, and meet up with such lovely people. I haven’t once met a mean blogger at one of these events, everyone is so warm and friendly. It’s such an amazing community to be part of.

Yes it is nice to have time for yourself and the simplest things are often the best. That is a lovely picture of Joe, he is a handsome little chap! It is Toby’s instinct but it is still shocking when it happens. It us my one dread that Jack gets a squirrel when I’m on my own with him, I wouldn’t know what to do – except cry of course! Have a fab time at blog camp x

That’s my predominant reason for blogging, to record the things that would otherwise be easily forgotten, that and connecting with so many other lovely people – just as you are right now at BlogCamp!

I’m sure I’ve heard of the Method range from some bloggers outside the UK… I could be talking about something entirely different. Haha! But the range sounds great regardless.

I hope you have another lovely week!

I remember a few years ago my mums dogs jumped up and disturbed a nest and killed all of the baby birds. My sister saw it all and was traumatised for so long. It is just their nature though sadly. Glad you had a good week other than that and was lovely seeing you at blogcamp! Thank you for joining in #HappyDaysLinky xx
