I have not linked up for a couple of weeks, and couple of not great weeks dictated I concentrate on my family. Sometimes it takes an incident to make you realise how lucky you are to have your beautiful family, and that actually they are all that is important in life.
It has been an enlightening couple of weeks where I have really opened my eyes to the people around us, people who are always there. I have realise how incredibly lucky we are to have these wonderful people around us.
I have also had some amazing support from some of my friends in the Blogging community, you know who you are ladies and your support has meant so much.
Out and About
We haven’t got out into the countryside later, we have enjoyed family time together and it seems lots of endless shopping trips to get all of Jacks skiing gear together for next week. It has cost a small fortune to send him on this trip it’s all the small things that add up. And the list has seemed to go on and on.
But it is lovely to see him so excited about his first high school holiday. It’s a shame I am not feeling that excited at the prospect of him leaving us for a week, but I am glad he has the confidence to go off and visit another country without us.
Fun at Home
Chris and Joe have been busy in the garden building Joe a new climbing wall, yes you heard me right. As if Joe needs a motive to climb and Chris has built him a full wall with grips. However I have drawn the line at a rope, god only knows what damage he will cause with a rope. So I may be a little unpopular on the climbing wall front but I would rather him fall of onto the grass than strangle himself. I have no photo; I am ashamed to say I haven’t been to admire their work. But today at some stage I will don my wellies and venture up the garden to check it out.
Time for Me
I had a lovely time on Wednesday evening at the Joe Bloggers Copthorne and the Chocolate Factory Event at the Copthorne Hotel Manchester. I was a little nervous but I don’t know why I met a lovely group of bloggers and not just Mum bloggers. And got to meet up with my lovely friend Katie.
I can’t believe that in a couple of hours I learn to make chocolate truffles, and enjoyed every minute. I will post about the experience next week, but everybody should have a go at chocolate making.
My Happiest Moment
I missed Joe’s parents evening this week, but Chris went along and filled me in with all the details over dinner when I got home. It’s great to know that Joe is progressing well, he does have issues with literacy, he concentrates on the artistic side and neatness, which affect the amount of work he is doing so needs to speed up. But is doing great in math’s.
The best thing is that he is well-behaved and well-mannered. Don’t get me wrong he is a boy and does occasionally have to be told but overall is seen as a good boy. All any parent want is their children to be happy and respectful and its great to know that he his doing well all round. Well done Joe we are very proud of you.
Next Week I would Like Too
It’s Just Joe and I next week as Jack does not break up from School for another week. We plan to decorate Joe’s room the week after so will be planning this week. Ordering a new bed with some storage a carpet and new bedding. It’s only a small room so we are going to try to maximise the space a little.
