When Karen over at Mini Travellers asked what my perfect family day out was? It really got me thinking. So what is a perfect day out for the Christie’s? We love so many different activities. The boys are total adventurers and like such a diverse range of activities. So I thought I would try to write a little recipe for the perfect Family Day.
Firstly Sunshine, not compulsory but it always helps doesn’t it? We are one of those families that is happy to put on our wellies, coats and hats and still have a great time. You can’t Control the weather can you? But let’s be honest sun makes everything seem nicer.
Then adventure, my two thrive off adventure. Climbing, swinging, surfing and exploring keeps these two happy. And lets face it? Happy kids, happy mum and dad.
They love animals and wildlife, in fact Joe really believes that one day he will become a jockey, he adores all animals, particularly horses. But also watches the calves and lambs grow with such wonder when they all start arriving in spring.
We all love the countryside, and spend hours walking through the fields of Pendle with our beloved pet Toby. They are real outdoor boys, and are happier when they are up a tree, in a river or covered in mud. It’s great that we don’t need to encourage then to spend time outside as the is where they are happier, outside with all the wonderful fresh air and space.
And some times, when we are really worn out from all the walking, running, climbing, surfing and any other activity they can find or invent. Mum and Dad like to get a little chill time and have a rest. But trust me this is NOT often.
This is my entry to the Crocky Trail ambassadorship competition in conjunction with Mini Travellers. #perfectdayout.
