Happy Days, A Quiet Week

This week has been a quiet week to say it is half term, I think we are all work out after the last 5 months. Life has been very exciting, a bit crazy and lots of fun. So this week was an opportunity to recharge our batteries ready for our very exciting year ahead.

Out and About

This week the boys and I had a lovely trip to the Trafford Centre, I am very lucky I can get the boys to go shopping, but there are rules. We choose 1 shop each and stick to this. No one is allowed to rush you in you chosen shop. Then we go for lunch.  Ha ha mad I know but it works and get them to the Trafford Centre. This week Joe chose Build A Bear, Jack chose Hollister and I chose Debenhams (Lots of shops under one room ha)

It was a successful trip we all came away happy with our purchases, and full from a lovely lunch at TGI Fridays. Of course if I want to mooch I shop alone, but this is a great strategy when shopping with teens and tweens. And a lovely Mum, Son day.

Fun at Home

We had our lovely friends Kelly, Steve, Janet and Scarlet visit on Saturday night. Kelly and I have been friends since school and we always have a great time when we all get together. We had a lovely meal and wine and the opportunity to catch up.

Then on Sunday we had a nice surprise and our lovely friends Leanne, Steven and Jessica popped in, we used to live next door to each other and always got on so well. (In fact Steven is also a friend from School) They were the perfect neighbors, and we really miss them so this was a great opportunity to catch up.

We have made the most of the holidays and had some lazy mornings, and chilled which has been lovely when we are all rushing around so much of the time. Joe and I also made our You Tube trailer. It took a while but Joe had a wonderful time being the director, he attached my script to the back of a chair, and organised the filming bless him. Of course he was nowhere to be seen when it came to editing. By I love the fact that the finished result is a real team effort.

Time for me

I have not had much time this week with it being half term, but have had a lovely week with the boys, and thoroughly enjoyed their company. There has been times when they have been in their rooms and I have had time to get a little blogging done in peace. In all its been a pretty chilled week.

My Happiest Moment

I think it has to be pressing publish on my first ever post in collaboration with Walt Disney World. I feel so honoured to be working with them, and excited doesn’t even cut it. They are the one consistent brand of my whole life. I can’t remember life without Disney in it, who can? So the fact that I am getting to work alongside them feels like a dream come true.

Next Week I would like too…

I am very excited about tonight as I am off to meet up with some lovely friends who I have met through blogging. I can’t wait to meet up with them and I know we will chatting away into the early hours of the morning. We are so lucky that some fab brands have supported our night in and enable us to make goody bags. It’s a shame that all of the girls can’t make it, they will be missed. But I am confident there will be many other times.

So actually my quiet week hasn’t been that quiet has it?
