Ask Not What You Can Do For Mark Warner ?

But What Mark Warner Can Do For Your Family ?

I bet some people are reading this and thinking nooooo blogger suicide, why would you apply for an ambassadorship programme with THAT heading. I will tell you why, and lovely people at Mark Warner please forgive me and do read on.

You see I like most holiday planning Mums’ will spend hours scouring the Internet and brochures for that perfect holiday, perfect hotel, and perfect activities. We are what can only be described as a chaotic family, with many many boxes to tick when searching for the perfect location to spend our precious holiday time. Time where we can chill and spend family time ( I say chill, there’s actually no such thing as chill with the Christie family, I mean the Christie version of chill)

So here is my list of requirements, things I aim to provide for my family to ensure everyone has a smile on their face. And I am hoping Mark Warner that you can help me provide this endless list to keep the Christie boys busy.

Location, we all like to visit new countries and experience new cultures. For this reason this has to be top of our list. Meeting different people from around the world and listening to their stories is just the best way to find out about a country or culture. It’s the real deal, and can teach a child or teen more than any text-book or lesson can. Life is about experiences, don’t you agree?

Sports, this is vital, if the boys can’t play tennis, badminton, football, ride a horse, or play golf they get stressed. So I have to find locations that include at least 1 sporting activity or they start to have withdrawal symptoms.

As Jack lives with type 1 diabetes he has to maintain his normal activity levels to keep his sugar levels constant. He lives life in fast forward so holidays need to be at that same pace, at least some of the time.

Activities, now this is a totally different category to sport and should be something they don’t normally do on a regular basis. This could be climbing, skating, surfing, sailing. They like an activity that they can learn, and really get their teeth into. They love a challenge.IMG_0550

A pool, swimming and splashing about is their way of chilling, this to some may be activity, to our boys this is chill time.

Whilst we have a pool, could I ask for 2 loungers you see by now they have run us ragged, we have done every sport and activity going. So a couple of hours to chill would be lovely. With of course the mandatory cocktail.

Nice food, Jack is a steady Eddie, likes to stick to a simple menu, yet Joe is Mr. adventurous and likes to try local dishes, the weirder the better. He likes to say he has tried the weird and wonderful. Mealtime is a big thing for us; we like to share our day, laugh, plan for the next and enjoy family time.

IMG_3288Luxury, I am a girl (well girl is stretching the truth a little but humor me) built for luxury, all I ask is a lovely room and a little pamper time. As you can imagine with that list of requirements my family wear me out. So a nice massage, chill time for just Mum and Dad whilst the boys enjoy meeting new friends.

There it is, the Christie’s needs for a perfect family holiday, and do you know what Mark Warner ? I do believe you are one of the few that can keep up with us. If you can we will be very happy parents.
