The Tree House Restaurant At Alnwick Gardens

For my last Alnwick post I wanted to blog about the Tree House Restaurant, On a previous trip to Alnwick I had tried to book the Tree House and it was fully booked, so this time I booked 6 months in advance.

It is so different to any restaurant I have ever been to. It is literally built in the tree’s. It consists of a main building and a network of smaller building, joined together by suspended bridges. I felt a bit like I was in Neverland; it really is that magical.

Alongside the restaurant, it also has a coffee shop and gift shop. The bouts spent ages running between all the tree’s, they loved all the suspended bridges, and it is quite high up, you find yourself wondering how they have managed to suspend all that weight.

There were also little glass panels dotted about that you could stand on and see the forest floor below,
Jack loved these, however there was not a chance that Joe would stand on them.

Because I was not writing my blog at the time, it did not occur to me to take pictures of the food.
But the food was fantastic, I had lamb and it was delicious. The prices were what you would expect for a restaurant of this quality.

I would definitely recommend visiting the beautiful Tree House, with, or without children. It is set amongst rolling fields and tree lined roads. And inside is a twinkling fantasy world, that offers excellent service and wonderful food. If you are visiting Alnwick the tree house it is a must to eat here, but book in advance.

Some treehouses blends classic notions of a simple wood structure in a tree with modernist angles, clean lines and other design elements.

Great Post! I’ve been reading a lot of info on tree house. Actually tree houses structures built amongst the branches or within the outer structure of a tree. They are normally raised above the ground and are made of wooden materials such as timber. They can be lived in as a permanent housing solution, or they can be used as a restaurant.
