    Monday Escapes 19/3/18

    19th March 2018

    A Vespre in Tuscany www.extraordinary.com

Ciao from Italy! Today we are bringing you Monday Escapes from Tuscany where we’ve spent a long weekend being hosted by the Giovanni family and Bookings For You at their amazing luxury villa. Our itinerary has been packed full of sightseeing in Siena and Florence, indulging in gourmet Italian home-cooking and catching up with a brilliant group of UK family travel bloggers.

What have we been up to?

I have been indulging in my love for theatre and visited the Palace Theatre in Manchester last week to see the Sound Of Music, and it was wonderful. From the cast to the set  it was incredible. If you are planning a trip to Manchester I would check it out.

    Taking part in Monday Escapes

This week’s Monday Escapes is being hosted by Claire at Tin Box Traveller and Lisa over at Travel Loving Family. You’ll find the link up tool at the bottom of this post.

Monday Escapes is all about looking back at wonderful, happy travel memories and sharing them with others. It doesn’t have to be about a trip abroad or even be a written post. If you want to share your favourite snapshots – whether it’s a famous sight, scene, dramatic view or even a favourite family photo, then please feel free to link those up, too. Likewise, posts don’t have to be about holidays or weekends away, they can also include day trips, walks, attractions – any travel experience that you want to share.

The linky is run by Karen from Mini Travellers, Claire at Tin Box Traveller, Lisa from Travel Loving Family and myself.

We are also absolutely delighted to link up with Lonely Planet to offer our number one favourite blog post of the fortnight either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range. (See T&C’s below). Just another great reason to link up with Monday Escapes!

    What’s in it for you?

The number one thing is you’ll be sharing your fantastic posts with a like-minded community and grabbing some travel inspiration for yourself. As a bonus you have a chance to have your blog post featured on all four of the hosts’ blogs each fortnight, introducing your blog to even more people.

Our favourite posts from last time

Here are mine and Karen’s favourite posts from the last link up:

    Vaucluse Dreamer Citrus Festival

“Vaucluse Deamer‘s post about the Fete Du Citron festival blew my mind the skill involved and the sheer beauty of the floats makes it a must to add to the travel wish list. You really need to click this link and study the images they are breathtaking.”

    Bergen The Pamplemousse Papers

“Caity from The Pamplemousse Papers‘ tour of Bergen took on many modes of transport to ensure she saw the best of the Fjords and has left me thinking if you are going to do the Fjords then this is the perfect way to see everything.”

    Travelynn Family

Karen said: “This post from Travelynn Family caught the eye of both Sarah and Karen, it’s an exceptional post about a truly exceptional trip. I’ve trekked some of this area before and is truly inspired at the children’s ability to walk the difficult terrain – and keep going!”

    Becoming A Traveling Family

Karen also said: “Allison from Becoming a Traveling Family‘s posts are always inspiring with beautiful photos. Her post about San Diego on a budget made me remember fondly a trip there pre-kids and in particular the noise of the seals.”

Our winner of the Lonely Planet guide this time is ***. Do get in touch to claim your prize.

So how do you join in this time?

    * Link up one post/photo – old or new using the InLinkz tool below.
    * Please make sure to include the Monday Escapes badge at the bottom of the post, on your site, or a link back to the hosts.
    * Posts are anything travel-related, and can include photos, reviews, days out, attractions and walks – at home or abroad.
    * Comment on posts by the co-hosts and at least two others. Blog hops only work if you share the comment love. That’s why they’re so great!
    * If you tweet any of us your links @minitravellers @sarahjchristie @tinboxtraveller or @travellovinfam, please use #MondayEscapes and we will be sure to retweet.

Monday Escapes will go live every two weeks, alternating between the hosts and will be open Monday to Wednesday. Every fortnight we will be giving a shout out to some of our favourite posts and photos.

There is also a Monday Escapes Pinterest Board – so if you’d like to start pinning some of your favourite photos, do get in touch.

    • It’s that time of year again when we need to get those summer legs ready. And if you choose the smooth option then there are so many hair removal methods available on the market. For me I find a long and short term solution necessary. Epilating slows down and thins hair growth whilst having a razor to take on my travels keeps my legs smooth in between epilating. Add to that a great exfoliator and moisturiser and woohooo I am summer ready. I used to make so many mistakes when I was younger but now I know Its all in the preparation and quality hair removal products. Bring on the holidays 🚢🍍☀️🛫💕🏖 #BraunBeauty #ad #BeautifullySmooth @gillettevenus
    • Today is going to be a day of packing and preparation as tomorrow I set off to Southampton to fly to Germany to check out @norwegiancruiseline newest ship the Norwegian Bliss which looks incredible for families. • If you have been to Florence you will know the street art is pretty spectacular. Today I will be sharing some of my favourite pieces over on the blog. And if you do visit Florence make sure you put aside some time to hunt it all down. Trust me it’s worth the time. The perfect port day activity.
    • Woohoo there are signs of spring in the air at last and my holidays are fast approaching. This week I have completed our online cruise check-in so exciting . I have also been organising my summer lingerie. Lovely bright whites and nudes to go under my summer dresses. I did go to a store to try some on but realised once you have worn @fantasie_lingerie and @wacoaleurope there is no going back, nothing else is good enough. Or fits so well ! But you know what there is so much choice that I could never tire of buying pretty lingerie💗 #ad
    • Yesterday we spent the evening in Liverpool watching Disney On Ice with wonderful friends.it’s been a few years since our last Disney On Ice trip and it was every bit as magical. As was the lovely evening we spent enjoying dinner and a wander in Liverpool 💗
    • The first time I clapped eyes on the river Arno in Florence it blew me away. And that is what I love about exploringa new city. Beautiful sights like this. It is rumoured that when Michelangelo carved David he was intended to be placed high on the hill! Thank goodness they kept him in in the city💗
