If you are not familiar with Sani Resorts, imagine the most beautiful Greek village wrapped around a harbor and surrounded with boutiques and restaurants. Many of which are à la carte. Sani Dunes is the newest resort to open at the 5 star luxury Sani Resort in Halkidiki in Greece, but is Sani Dunes For Families?

Is Sani Dunes for Families?

What appeals to me about Sani is that there is a place for everyone. And Sani Beach is perfect for families with small children offering an abundance of kids facilities and a kids club. Whilst Sani Asterias offers more upscale luxury, and Porto Sani has more of an urban feel to it, being located just of the buzzing marina.

If you want to see me create my projects, follow me on Tik Tok and Instagram.

Sani Dunes is the resorts cooler resort for families, which is tucked away at one end of the resort. Thus giving families with older kids and teens that bit of tranquility they often crave.

You can book Sani Dunes on a half board or full board basis and take part in the dine around programme. This allows you to book any buffet restaurant or tailored menu restaurants included in the price, or an a la carte restaurant for a supplement. And with a choice of 22 restaurants the choice is extensive.

The appeal at Sani Dunes for families with older children, it the more grown up feel. Younger children are welcome but are best served staying nearer to Sani Club and all the Sani Resort kids facilities.

Thus Sani Dunes is perfect for chill out weeks for families with teenagers. Or indeed sneaking away for a romantic couples break. It’s a short walk from the marina and all the bars and restaurants. Yet also being near to all the action, yet feeling secluded and tranquil giving you the best of both worlds.

The Pool And Beach Area At Sani Dunes

The resort has its own private beach, which also has a water sports center with water sports available at a small extra charge. And two HUGE, extremely beautiful pools.

As Sani Dunes has only 136 luxurious rooms there is plenty of space around the pools to prevent that crowded feeling. Also with all suites having loungers and patio furniture. The dilemma is not is there a seat? But where to sit, Pool, beach or patio? Yes, that really is the biggest decision I want to face on a chilled out holiday.

The Teen Facilities At Sani Dunes For Families.

Ozone teen club is located just between the resort and the marina. It’s in the perfect spot for teens at Sani Dunes to be able to nip for a game of giant pool.

Or indeed play fifa in the games area. It’s also a great place to hang out and meet friends from the rest of Sani Resort. There are also sports courts over at Sani Beach. And should it be too hot to walk you can always order a buggy to take you across.

There’s An On-Site Mini Market And Deli For Dining In.

This is a wonderful option should you fancy a light lunch on your patio over a bottle of wine. Sani resorts have made it easy for you to dine in should you want to. The mini market has a great selection of bread, meat and snacks. Plenty of soft drinks, a good selection of wine and ice-lollies to keep the kids, teens and tweens happy.

Whilst the deli has a wonderful Mediterranean choice of meats, breads and cheeses.

I LOVED Sani Dunes

It offers everything I look for in a holiday, luxury, fine dining and somewhere to go for an evening walk and enjoy a cocktail. A beautiful beach to spend long hot days listening the sea in the background, and pools that you just don’t want to leave. Sani Dunes is perfect for families travelling with teens.

There is also so much for teens to do. I love the grown up feel of the resort. I feel that families with younger children will still want to opt for Sani Beach due the proximity of the park and mini clubs. But it is nice for them to have the option going forward.

  1. So many amazing memories reading this post, Sani Dunes is certainly a special place. We loved the Beach House for breakfast each morning, and the marina is so beautiful for dining in the evening. We sadly missed the sunset cruise as we were booked into Sani Gourmet the same evening, but I would love to return to Dunes one day x

  3. You know I’ve never really given much thought to Greece or Crete before but I keep reading posts about the region and am beginning to get more and more interested in visiting! THis hotel looks lovely – totally the kind of place I’d like to stay when I do get round to booking that flight! 😉 #MondayEscapes

  5. A resort with its own private beach!?! Wow, that seems so luxurious to me. And the food >.< yum! I shouldn't have read this while experiencing a case of Threesies. #mondayescapes

  6. I absolutely LOVE the idea of an entire resort that feels like an authentic village, with all the different restaurants. I would definitely want to do full board – the choice looks amazing! But then I kind of like the idea of being able to sit in my villa over a few snacks occasionally too. We’re getting to the stage where we could afford to give the kids a bit of freedom on holiday, but it’s always a bit nerve-wracking, and I can never fully relax. Sani sounds like the kind of place we could do that, knowing that they’re enclosed to some extent. I need a bit of beach, pool or patio in my life right now 😉

  7. How incredibly beautiful! Greece is definitely my favourite summer destination, and Sani looks like something to keep in mind. We have a 21 month old right now, so we’ll probably wait till she’s a little older to splash out. I like the idea of her being old enough to hang out in the teen areas, so daddy and mommy can have a romantic stroll by the beach without her. Ha! #mondayescapes

  8. Totally Agreed with the above statement. I love to travel and explore the things around the world. Last week I have visited Sani Resort and it was awesome experience. Everything was excellent home service, beaches, rooms and the food is just amazing. I have suggestion for those who want to visit in Greece and still finding the hotel. Go and book Now.

  9. This is a perfectly timed review Sarah for us. I have had my eye on this resort for a whlle but always questioned how suitable it would be for teenagers so it is great to see that there is an area for the older kids – to be honest the thought of having to return to resort holidays with loads of young kids around fills me with dread now that stage is so far behind me. I will definitely be checking this out for next year. Great review. #MondayEscapes

    • Oh god me to Jo I love a more adult environment and this is great, even though they are welcoming younger kids next year I think families will naturally radiate towards the Sani Beach as its near the kids club for little kids x
