Five Unique Things To Do In London

London is one of the best cities on Earth. Ok beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But there has to be a reason people flock from all over the word to visit our great Capital City right?

And we all know the obvious places to visit Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and my favourite place in the world, Covent Garden. All of these are wonderful parts of our history. Or maybe try a must see shows, because you can’t visit London and not see a show. But what about the rest of London, the things we never think to do or see?

If you want to see me create my projects, follow me on Tik Tok and Instagram.

When Hundred Rooms asked me what my top recommendations for London were,

Enjoy an afternoon tea in London with a difference

I recently got to visit the Town House Kensington with all the Mark Warner Mums for the Tale As Old As Time afternoon tea. If you are a Disney fan this is the best afternoon tea ever.

Honestly I felt weepy I loved it that much! The whole theatre around this perfectly formed Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea extravaganza is just incredible. Everything is linked to the movie. If this is something you would love to do, I would suggest booking way in advance as it gets booked up. Failing that email the hotel and getting on the waiting list, trust me it is so worth it.

Take A Walk Around Notting Hill

I took part in an arranged London photo walk a couple of weeks ago and wow. I can’t wait to go back again; if you love pretty houses and pastel colours then you must do this. And make sure you pop into Peggy Porschen’s the prettiest cake shop in the world.

Visit The Top Of The Shard.

Ok this is quite a popular one! For the best views of London go to the top of the Shard. I loved checking out the 360-degree view of London from the viewing deck, with a glass of champagne in hand. Yes, they have champagne! It is so high up the people and cars look like toys. We visited on a cloudy day, my next aim to go up at sunset.

Check Out The Hidden London

Things such as this amazing police phone box near London Wall. It is no longer in use, but what an incredible piece of history and how amazing that we still have icons like this to enjoy. For more hidden London check out Donna’s blog at LikeLoveDo she shares lots of hidden London, such as England’s smallest police station at Trafalgar Square. Which I myself have walked past so many times without noticing!

For Harry Potter Fans, Visit The House Of MinaLima

Miraphora (Mina) and Eduardo (Lima) are the graphic artists behind all of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast movies. Now I am a huge fan but had never heard of this incredible shop/gallery. You have to visit if you are a Harry Potter fan. I was nearly weeping.

Another hidden gem from the lovely Donna and my goodness it’s a real find. You get to peruse the shop, which in itself is a work of art. And can also book onto free of charge guided tours of the Mina Lima gallery which showcases artwork from all of your favourite Harry Potter movies, with a little insight into the work and geniuses behind it.
