Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a space of your very own? Yup me too. Don’t get me wrong, I adore the Christie boys, they are my entire world.
Some days I just want a little break from league points and transfer fees. Just 10 minutes or so to concentrate on my work, meet that deadline before shutting away my work space and giving my family my undivided attention.
We don’t have room in our little country home for such a space. I have a lovely work area, but it’s not private or peaceful. And I can’t shut it away. But I do have room in the garden for such a haven.
Recently comparethemarket.com showed me just how easy it is to achieve such peace and solitude in ones garden in a weekend and create the perfect outdoor home office, otherwise known as the she shed.
With a simple garden shed and a little creativity it is so easy to create the perfect she shed in no time at all. Somewhere to keep all of my craft things, to be able to work on a scrap booking project and leave it out over night without the risk of artistic customisation from Joe. He always has a unique way of improving such things, and feels he is most often right in all things art and craft. Joe is also very helpful, so craft projects really do need to be kept out of his helpful reach.
A couple of weeks ago I head to London to see my very own dream she shed come to life with the team from comparethemarket.com
It was a wonderful experience but odd because the team so wanted to keep it a surprise right up until the grand reveal. This meant I was not allowed to peek, not even a tiny bit. And do you know what I surprised myself?
I am generally good at such things I love surprises. I am one of those people who would never ever peek at gifts under the tree. But when you are in the vicinity and so much excitement and buzz is going on around you? That takes some resolve.
However in my quest for a lovely surprise I held strong and did not peek once. And I am so glad I didn’t as the grand reveal was amazing, the whole design and layout was perfect. The team got it just right. A place for my craft things, a place to blog, even a snuggly rug for Toby, who lets face it follows me everywhere and they didn’t leave him out. And a little gin bar so I could have a cheeky gin and watch the sun set over the countryside. I LOVED IT!

Check out the little video to see how quick and easy it is to make your own space. It’s the perfect weekend project. Sometimes we put things off because they appear to be harder than we think don’t we? When actually this is such simple little project.
