My Weekly Round Up A Postcard From Ikos Olivia

Share

Hello from Greece and the very beautiful 5 star Ikos Oliviva.

My week has been filled with luxury cocktails and family chilled time.

It is tinged with a little sadness as soe of our favourite people were meant to be visiting with us and couldn’t make it. They have been sorely missed, however I can’t wait to get the opportunity to share Ikos resorts with them in the future. Which I am sure we will. Especially as there are new resorts opening next year, eeeeekkk exciting.

If you want to see me create my projects, follow me on Tik Tok and Instagram.

The resort is super slick, it has many similarities to Ikos Oceania yet is so different in many ways. The resort is much flatter and like a little Greek village with many of the social areas built along a stunning beachfront. Whereas Ikos Oceania is built into a hillside with breath-taking views over the sea!

Both are stunning, we have had so many discussions trying to decide which is our favourite and we can’t.

I say we, Joe would choose Olivia hands down. The sports facilities are the stuff of teen and tween dreams with tennis courts, volley ball and football pitches, a basket ball court and table tennis. He is in his element.

What I love the most is having that family time all together. We are so busy all the time at home and getting a little time together to chill is amazing.

I have a rule that we all dine at the table every night. But the boys always want to eat and go. Here we are spending hours over meals, laughing and making memories. Thats so precious as they are growing so quickly. It seems a lifetime ago since that first holiday to Mexico when Jack was 1.

I am feeling positively lazy, usually when we travel we are up and out every day.

However I have attended an early morning Yoga lesson, been for early morning walks swam lots but that it is.  And are definitely feeling relaxed this week, which was very much-needed. But I can’t help feeling I should be doing something. But that is what holidays are all about, doing what you want to do. And this week that is chilling out with my family. Although Joe is mostly off playing football, splashing in the pool with friends and riding bikes.

I haven’t posted a daily postcard as I normally do but have been sharing like mad over on my Insta stories. I love sharing this way as it really captures the holiday spirit there and then. And is enabling me to share how gorgeous the resort is.

Wishing you all an amazing Good Friday and Easter weekend. And fingers crossed for a little sunshine in the UK.

  2. Jealous!!
This looks like an amazing resort and you’re managing to get some downtime as well as enjoy time spent with the family
I know what you mean about dinner time – we always eat together but the children are quick to finish and go. But when we’re away that time over the dinner table seems to extend and it’s really lovely chatting time.
Early morning yoga sessions can set up for the day, I found, but it always seems to be better when it’s done in a warm climate and without the knowledge you have to go to work / do the school run!
    Enjoy your time away

  3. Sarah I knew you would fall in love with Olivia as much as we have. I can’t imagine holidaying anywhere else now, though I am tempted to try the new resorts. I can’t wait to meet up and have a good old natter all things Ikos. They just get everything SO right don’t they. We too have the rule that everybody can go off and do their own thing in the day, but all meals we always have together. Ah I miss it so much x

  4. I absolutely love Greece and can’t wait to take my little girl there (hopefully in the not so distant future). It sound like you had an amazing and relaxed time which can be hard with kids but you obviously picked the right resort to keep them happy and busy. #mondayescapes

  5. That beach looks fantastic. I’m glad you’re having a nice vacation. Chill time is always nice and sometimes it’s good just to relax instead of always being on the go. #MondayEscapes

  9. My son would be in his element too – you’ve probably visited at the best time of year before it gets scorchingly hot! I get itchy feet if I have to sit around and do nothing but there’s always loads to explore in Greece, love the country! (Used to work there and met my partner there too so good memories). #Mondayescapes
