Afternoon Tea’s And Being A Mark Warner Mum

Heading to London is always a huge adventure; I just love the anticipation of getting into the city. Wandering around with my camera in no particular direction and people watching. What’s not to love?

Last Wednesday was all about meeting the lovely Mark Warner Team and my fellow Mark Warner Mums, Julia, Maria, Emily and Alison. We were unable to meet Jodie as her little one was poorly, but hopefully will get to meet at another opportunity. I still can’t believe I am one of the lucky 6 arghhh!

I know the train journey to London can be a bit epic but if I get good seats with a charger and table then I quite happily work on the train. And with an ever-changing view speeding by it’s a nice change. It is more than possible to do London and back in a day, in fact it’s quite the adventure. Although I am sure if traveling with the boys an overnight stay would be more beneficial.

However for me it is the opportunity to have best of both worlds. I know if it weren’t for this I would crave city life so much more.

And of course it is a great excuse to catch up with some of my fave blogging pals. Julia and I had arranged to meet at Euston and although common sense told us to jump straight onto the tube it was a sunny day in London and we fancied a wander. And we did just that, probably for too long. We chatted stopped every now and then to take a picture and soaked up the atmosphere.

The thing is with wandering like this, you get absorbed in your surroundings. Oohing at beautiful shop windows and pretty streets lined with white houses. I literally could lose hours like this, and we may have spent longer than intended and had to jump in a cab to get to the Town House in time for our Tale as Old as Time afternoon tea.

Now Beauty and the Beast is my absolute fave Disney Film. I was beside myself when we last visited Disney and I got to dine in the Beasts Castle, so this for me was just a dream. An amazing experience to celebrate a wonderful opportunity with an inspirational bunch of ladies.

We spent a wonderful couple of hours chatting all things Mark Warner.

It’s great to listen to people who are as passionate about a resort. And as Polly, Emilia and Gabby chatted about how wonderful The Mark Warner Lakitira resort is the excitement really started to build for our trip. The boys are just going to love it with all that sport on tap; it’s the thing of teen dreams.

So as we all marvelled over our afternoon tea which was delivered in such a wonderfully theatrical way. Enjoying the delicious food, all designed around Be Our Guest. It all felt rather magical. You know one of those days you wont forget in a hurry. Sprinkled with so many levels of wonderfulness for many different reasons.

For me Wednesday was the first step onto a new and exciting adventure that I am so thrilled to be part of, and a bit in awe of the company too if I am honest. I love being in the company of creative people and this lovely lot of ladies are so very creative. Thanks so much for choosing me Mark Warner. The Christie boys and I just can’t wait to visit.

  1. Oh how exciting and that tea just looks so wonderful, I wouldn’t be able to stop taking photos of it all. You make me miss London so much. I used to be there 3 days a week at one time and loved it so much. A good wander around there is just perfect!
