I actually don’t think there is anything I love more than a sunset.
It is by far my favourite setting. And one thing I was excited about in Dubai was the sunset. The first day we arrived and after a quick catch up on our sleep we headed to Downtown Dubai at Dusk for dinner at the stunning Thiptara restaurant at the Palace Hotel for a delicious Thai meal.
I didn’t get many pictures inside. The restaurant has such an ambient setting with low lights, which made it difficult to photograph. But oh my the food was just incredible as was the service. The Thiptara is as the perfect viewing point to watch the Dubai Fountains. It has a balcony area where you can view in peace and away from the crowds.
It was perfect
A delicious meal and great service with the opportunity to nip out at half hour intervals to watch the fountains which are truly beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend the Thiptara. It is so much better to have the space to appreciate the fountains, rather than trying to get to the front of the crowds around the lake. And if you re going to enjoy the fountains then why do not do so in luxury over dinner.
The fountains were at the tops of my wish list and they did not disappoint, had we not been so busy I think I would have returned to see them again before we left. But being stood with my not so little family watching the fountains is a moment I will treasure forever.
