Delicious Food At Carden Park Hotel

Getting the opportunity to get away with blogging friends is priceless; I always have so many things I want to ask them, to discuss. Because as many wonderful blog events we go to, it is always great to learn from your peers. So when we got the opportunity to get together at the very elegant Carden Park Hotel we jumped at the chance.

If you want to see me create my projects, follow me on Tik Tok and Instagram.

A spa and activity weekend, amazing food, stunning surrounding and great company, as you can imagine, it took me all of 0.4 seconds to think about it. We had grand plans of practicing our photography, trying to share as many tips as we could. And we did to an extent, but over a glass of prosecco rather than in a workshop style session like we had planned. The problem is we don’t get together much, there was so much to discuss, as bloggers and as friends.

For me it nearly never happened as I awoke to this……

My Sunday Photo & Sudden Snow

School had made the decision to close, and I could not get my car off the drive if I had wanted too. I sadly accepted my fate, that is until lunchtime when the sun came out and started to melt the snow. So yay, not being one to give up easily, I was able to battle out of snowy Pendle to the glorious sunshine of Cheshire. I was late, but I made it, and I am so glad I did, Carden Park is just stunning.

As Carden Park had arranged so much for us, that we decided to do this grand estate justice we would each talk about a different subject. And mine is one of my favourite topics, food and drink.

From the moment you check into Carden Park you are surrounding by delicious food and lounges that make you want to grab a comfy chair by a roaring fire and order a glass of wine. It is the most indulgent atmosphere and has a variety of dining options. The food is incredible, to be honest they had me at the sweet treats they left in our rooms.

The great thing about travelling with fellow bloggers is they understand the need to photograph food before tucking in, and these treats would have put the even the most committed of us to the test, they were heaven. I am going to go out on a limb and say the macarons were the best I have ever tasted, and had I not been trying to show a little restraint I would have happily demolished the lot, they were not only so very pretty but divine.

After an incredible full body massage, which was so needed after my morning battle with the snow, we floated back to our rooms to get ready for the evening. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to get out with the girls and get dressed up in a beautiful environment like Carden Park.

Being a wife and mum makes for a busy life doesn’t it? It is so important to make that time to spend with friends, to be pampered, relax, eat, drink wine and have fun. And getting dressed up and going out for dinner with the girls was just fantastic.

We dined at the Vines and ate breakfast at Redmond’s. Both have a distinctively different feel, Redmond’s being more formal and opulent whilst the vines has a more trendy industrial feel which we loved, it felt cool, relaxed and laid back.

The menu choices have something to suit all tastes. This is the sort of environment that is perfect for a girly catch up over a delicious meal and bottle of pink prosecco. And Tom and Robbie who looked after us were so attentive and friendly.

We all choose such a diverse array of dishes, from burgers in brioche buns to lamb with sticky red cabbage, it was great that there was something for all palates. I heartily recommend the vines, wonderful food, atmosphere and great service. In fact we were so chilled that before we knew it the restaurant was closing, but feeling we had more chatting to do we retired to Morgan’s bar to enjoy a night-cap and a little more blog chat before heading of for a relaxed nights sleep.

Now my big weakness in life is breakfast and Redmond’s did not disappoint, this is the one time of day when I could be truly greedy, and with the offer of delicious fruit, pastries and cooked breakfast I really think I did extremely well to only have 2 courses, but seriously I could have grazed for ages. The service was slick and a much-needed coffee was with us within minutes. And the eggs benedict was delicious; yes breakfast is most definitely my weakness!

Carden Park is a stunning hotel, the atmosphere is just so refined and chilled yet has such a luxurious air about it. Perfect for a relaxed indulgent girly spa weekend, an adventure weekend with the family or a romantic getaway with hubby.

But don’t just take my word for it check out what  the lovely Jess has to say about the interior decor, Karen about the activities, and Rachel about the stunning hotel grounds. And thank you to all the team at Carden Park for your hospitality.

  2. We dined in The Vines when we visited the other week, and initially I was disappointed as Redmonds was full. But I loved the atmosphere in there, and the food was amazing. Did anyone have the bread as a starter ? We both had it and it was a full loaf each lol. Glad you had an amazing time, I knew you would love it Sarah x
