The Wizarding World of Harry Potter In Pictures, My Captured Moment

Share

I have been meaning to share my photos of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando for such a long time. In fact why I haven’t done it before I can-not say, I have no idea. So for this weeks My Captured Moment I have chosen to share them. From the first chapter Harry Potter totally had me, I loved stepping into the wonderfully magical world, that lets face it who wouldn’t want to live in.

Yes, there is evil and bad, but in that world they have a super hero boy to deal with that, letting everybody else get on with their magical lives.

It is actually hard to believe just how long Harry Potter has been with us. I remember sitting in the ever depressing Greater London rush hour traffic and Chris Evans saying, yes I know this is a children’s book, but its more than that, you have to read it. So I did. And like so many others feel in love with this wonderful world.

I remember the first movie being released,  Jack was only 1 so I took my cousin and her little boy, I was so desperate to see  the Philosophers Stone, and the movie was everything I imagined it would be. Since then have visited Alnwick Castle where the first film was shot, Warner Brothers Studios, and then in August The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando argghhh I honestly can-not tell you how excited I was. When I walked into Hogsmeade I nearly wept, it is so realistic. Universal has got it 100% right, it is breathtaking.

To be totally honest, we visited for a day, it was not long enough. Next time we visit Orlando we will spend a few nights staying on resort. It really is worth staying for. I want to be able to spend hours wandering around taking photos and absorbing the atmosphere. I wont spoil it by telling you all, there are lots of surprises along the way. And they really do add to the magical atmosphere. What I will say is give yourself plenty of time, because if you are a fan there is nothing else like it. And if you are not a huge fan, you will love the rides and incredible setting just for being part of  one the most incredible them parks ever.

  1. It looks fantastic. My step-daughter and husband love Harry Potter and have been to the UK attraction, as soon as I show them these photos I am sure I won’t hear the end of going to Orlando. Looks a great experience. Thanks for sharing #MyCapturedMoment

  2. Stunning pictures Sarah. Would you believe I have never read any of the books nor watched any of the films, so I think when we visited lots of things went totally over my head. But the theming is incredible. I agree that one day is not enough, and the first time we went to Florida we stayed in one of the Universal hotels for a night. Look at that gorgeous blue sky as well. I have forgotten what blue sky is xx

  3. Hi Sarah, I’ve not read the books, but I did enjoy the films (when in all honesty I hadn’t expected to). The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter sounds like a must for any Harry Potter Fan and if we were ever out that way, it is somewhere I would like to visit… I’ve always fancied owning a wand!

    xx

    • Thank you, we started taking our two when they were 2 years old, I think there is so much magic every time you go. A different magic at every age x
