Oh don’t you just love a bank holiday weekend? Time to chill out and spend with the family. It’s weird how that one tiny little day can make such a difference to your week, you feel so much more rested, and that precious extra day with your family without the pressures of work, school and clubs is wonderful.
Another week has flown by, as have the months. I don’t think it helps being so busy with my blog, but that is a lovely kind of busy that just fits in with our life.
Out & About
We had the most beautiful family walk on Sunday, we ventured a little farther than normal to try out a pub garden in another village; it was quite a walk but so worth it. The countryside was beautiful and the weather was so warm. I love days like this just us out in the open space. Jack wasn’t keen to start off and dragged behind, but he soon cheered up and got into the spirit of things.
Fun at Home
Last week Joe took the huge step of printing off and completing the application to the Kids Great British Bake Off. Now I am all for encouraging our boys to be exactly who they want, we are always telling them you can be and do anything you want in life. But there was a small issue here; Joe had never finished a recipe in his life. Every time he bakes he gets bored half way though a goes off to play.
We decided to give him a chance and let him bake from scratch to prove he could enter, and guess what he got bored and never made the icing or iced the cakes. So I suppose in the end he answered his own question, we never had to shoot down his hopes, as he hasn’t mentioned it since.
Time For Me
Last week saw another Blog event, and getting to meet up with another group of blog besties, last week I attended BlogOn, which was a great event. I met lots of lovely bloggers that I hadn’t met before, attended some great sessions and met some lovely brands. I got to meet up with the lovely Hayley, Karen and Katie and spend a bit of time chatting with them over coffee and lunch which was great, its lovely to see your blog friends in person rather than just chatting online to them.
My Happiest Moment
Was finally getting a family portrait to join up to the amazing Me & Mine linky, I have been meaning to do this for months, now I have got my first I will make sure I do it every month. It will be incredible to look back on at the end of the year. I can’t wait.
Next Week I Would Love Too
Tonight is my Sister in Law Emma’s 40th birthday party so I am really looking forward to that. And next weekend is the first quiet, un-booked weekend we have had in ages. Now don’t get me wrong, I love being busy and having loads to look forward to but its nice to have a little quiet time sometimes. Although I do desperately need a trip to Cheshire Oaks, we need to get the boys some polo shirts for their holidays.
This Week I Love
I have been sent this Monbento MB Gram snack box, and I love it. It is to use in Disney, and is perfect to keep snacks in for Jack. You see the problem is, snacks get crushed if not in a box. On the rare occasions that Jack does have a hypo he is not the most reasonable of people. It can alter his mood through no fault of his own, so there is no way he will eat a crushed snack. This little beauty is lightweight, yet solid so will keep snacks nice and safe. And looks really cool too.
